Every bride wants to look ravishing on her wedding day. And if you are getting married any time soon, we will guide you through the various bridal makeup ideas and inform you regarding what you should or shouldn’t be doing on your big day!
The destination and the time of your wedding play an influential role when it comes to planning your makeup.
1. Summer or Beach wedding:
You may have chosen the beautiful Mexican beach of Tulum for your destination wedding. The gorgeous white sand, the deep blue Caribbean Sea and the tropical weather might be the perfect choice for your wedding.

However, when you choose such a destination, choosing a bridal makeup look becomes a bit more challenging. You have to make sure to use waterproof makeup that will last through the humid tropical weather.
So, our primary focus will be to keep your makeup look subtle and fresh. If you choose such a destination, here are few of the styles that you can try.
The right dose of fresh pink
Swipe a light shade of pink on your eyelid and you may intensify the crease using a darker shade of pink or a dusty pink. On the center of your eyelid, use a shimmery eyeshadow, from L’Oreal Paris Color Riche La Palette Glam Eye Shadow Palette or Coastal Scents Think Pink Palette. You can also mix and match two different eyeshadow palettes. Lastly, don’t forget to highlight your inner eye corner and the brow bone.
Skip the eyeliner in this look instead opt for waterproof mascara such as Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara. Use false eyelashes, if you want! Generously apply waterproof and smudgeproof mascara. Curling the lashes will make your eyes look awake.

Using a semi matte foundation will allow your skin to breath easily. Use a Beauty Blender to apply foundation for a non-cakey look. For concealing, use something that is long-lasting and sweat proof. The TARTE Shape Tape Concealer
is one of the best concealers that can almost make your dark circles vanish.
Use a translucent loose powder instead of a compact powder. Loose powder that is finely milled, such as NYX Professional Makeup Mineral Finishing Powder will set your makeup without making your face look cakey.
Owing to the hot and humid weather, your skin might become oily. Hence, we suggest you avoid any shimmer or highlighter.

The Bobbi Brown Blush Desert Pink, a soft dusty pink blush gives your face a flush of color and ties the whole look together.
Since we are keeping the makeup matte, you can use a lip gloss to bring shine in the makeup. Use Victoria’s Secret Total Shine Addict Flavored Lip Gloss – Candy Baby.
You wing, you win
Use a black eyeliner here.Instead of using pink eyeshadow, you can choose to nude shades such as flesh color for your eyelids. Use a shimmery eyeshadow from the middle of your eyelid towards the inner corner. Make sure to blend the eye shadows so that the shimmer and the matte base merge with each other and there’s no harsh line. Once you are happy with the result, you can move forward to creating that flick.

Instead of drawing one single line, create small dots or dashes, connect them to create a seamless line.
If you’re going for a simple flick, continue with the eyeliner towards your brow. Don’t make it too long! To create a feline flick, thicken the line a bit more towards the outer corner.

Our preferred eyeliner for this look is the Bobbi Brown Long-wear Gel Eyeliner. —It is waterproof and sweat resistant, making it an ideal product for a summer or a beach wedding.
If you don’t want a sharp and crisp line, choose a charcoal eyeshadow to create your wing. It softens the look without taking away the eye drama! Choose single lashes, to intensify the look according to your preference.

Don’t forget to fill the sparse areas in your eyebrows. While the brow shadows are good to create a soft brow effect, brow pomade is ideal for dramatically drawn eyebrows.
Brow shadows may not last long in the humid weather. Eyebrow gel is what you need! The waterproof formula Rimmel Brow This Way Lightweight Gel will give you the soft look you desire while keeping your brow hairs in place.
Keep the rest of the make-up minimum. Replace the pink blush with a peach one to complement the eye look. The same goes for your lips. The peachy nude shade, by Velvet Teddy by MAC essentially completes the look.

Loose curls and a simple chignon will make the bridal look complete.
2. Wedding of the fall season

Getting married during the autumn season allows you to choose a more elaborate look.
Smokey eyes with nude lips
The ultimate wedding makeup can be the gorgeous smokey eye look. No, we are not talking about extremely dark smokey eyes. But a soft smokey effect that is enough to create depth. Complete the eye makeup first as chances are that you’ll see a lot of fallouts from the eye shadows you’re using. You can clean the fallouts and move on to finish the face makeup.
For the base, you can either choose an eyeshadow primer such as SmashBox Photo Finish Shadow Primer or a regular concealer with good durability. Lancôme’s Effacernes Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer is one of the long-lasting, heavy-duty concealers, that are ideal to cover the veins on your eyelids.
Next step is to use a powder to set the concealer or the primer. Dust your eyelids using the Revlon REVL7 Colorstay Pressed Powder.
When it comes to smokey eyes, Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette is what you need!

Use the matte light brown shade and intensify the crease with the darker shade and blend well. Use the lightest shade in the inner corner of your eyes or you can also use metallic shades, to glam up the look without making it too smokey.

If you want to bring in more depth and intensity, use the black eyeshadow on the outer V of your eyes and blend. Use a pair of false eyelashes, if you so desire. Finish it by creating a cat eyeliner with the blackest black eyeliner, Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner.

If you have dry skin, moisturize your face after cleaning the fallouts. If you have oily skin or combination skin, use a face primer, as the primer helps the makeup last longer. Rimmel Stay Matte Primer should be your choice as it helps you to keep the excess oil at bay.
We suggest you to choose a full coverage foundation such as HUDA BEAUTY foundation. If you’re confident enough to show off your freckles, you can choose a medium coverage foundation like BECCA foundation. Use a stippling brush by Real Technique to achieve a better coverage.
Use the concealer that you used before under your eyes and blend well. Then set your base makeup with pressed powder. A yellow toned powder looks good on most skin tones as it blurs out the imperfections and reduces photo flashbacks.
Now it’s time to bring some color back to your skin. The peach shade of Flower Beauty Flower Pots Powder Blush, goes well with this makeup look. To complement the look, use a soft peach lipstick, such as Maybelline New York ColorSensational Lipcolor, Peachy Scene 525.
We won’t be going for a heavy contour in this look. Rather, we suggest using a light hand when it comes to contouring. Use the NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP 3 Steps To Sculpt Face Sculpting Palette to contour and highlight your face. When you’re going for smokey eye makeup, you don’t want to make your face too shiny or sculpted. Use a light hand when applying the contour shade and highlighter.

Finally, spray your face with a makeup setting spray. We recommend the Too Faced Hangover Rx 3 in 1 Replenishing Primer & Setting Spra as it sets your makeup and hydrates your skin so that the makeup remains fresh for longer.
Look chic with the warm glow:
Fall is a lot about warm colors. You can see a lot of warm shades including yellow, orange, red etc. around you. So, why not capture that warmth of nature and transfer it to your bridal makeup styles.
To get the chic glowing bronzed skin, use a luminous foundation such as L’Oreal Paris Makeup Infallible Up to 24HR Pro-Glow Foundation. To intensify the glow, use an illuminating primer. Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer i–s an affordable option that works well.
Apply the primer with a Beauty Blender and let it settle down. Layer the foundation on top of the primer. The idea here is not to cover the imperfections. So, a full coverage foundation is not something that our experts recommend.
Next step is to brighten your under eye and the middle portion of your face. Concealer that you use should be brightening rather being illuminating. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser concealer is raved about by many makeup artists for its brightening properties.
A glowing look isn’t complete without highlighting. However, you don’t want the look to be shiny. On the contrary, you should look like you’re glowing from within. Alongside the illuminating primer and foundation, you need a highlighter that you can use on the high points of your face. Living Luminizer from RMS Beauty gives you an ethereal glow. Apply the highlighter on your cheekbones, on the bridge of your nose, on your Cupid’s bow and on your forehead.Blend the highlighter so that it doesn’t look stark. Avoid any highlighter that has glitter particles. It will not give you a glowing goddess look.
Sculpt the cheekbone and the nose so that your face is properly contoured. Use a cream contour and set it with a powder contour to avoid extra shine.
Choose any cream contour and apply under the cheekbone. We will use the Balm Take Home The Bronze. Put the powder in the hollows of your cheek and the sides of your nose and blend.

For the blush, use the Stila Convertible Color Dual Lip and Cheek Cream on your cheeks. Use a peach powder blush to set the cream blush. Avoid using pink in this look.
Now that you are done with creating the base, let’s move on to the eyes. For the eyes, apply a thin layer of eyeshadow primer and set with some pressed powder. Dust the eyelids with a shimmery champagne color eyeshadow. Take a copper shade and blend the shadow in the outer V. You can stop here or you can use a deeper shade of brown to define the outer V. Use a chestnut brown eyeshadow in your crease and with a very light hand, blend all the eye shadows in the crease area. Make sure that there’s no harsh line.
Create a winged eyeliner with a waterproof liquid liner such as Maybelline Eyestudio Master Precise All Day Ink Pen Liquid Eyeliner. If you’re comfortable, wear a pair of false lashes. If you aren’t, skip the step and jump straight to applying mascara. Revlon Super Length Mascara is a waterproof mascara that is perfect for any bridal makeup.
Our expert makeup artists recommend not to use any lip colors. Applying a clear lip gloss like Maybelline New York Lip Studio Shine Shot Lip Topcoat is all you need to complete the look. However, if you’re not comfortable in keeping your lips bare, you may choose a nude shade of lip gloss. NYX Professional Makeup Lip Lingerie Gloss offers you a number of colored lip glosses. Choose nude pink to pale nude depending on your preferences.

3. Winter wedding
In some parts of the world, winter is all about brutally cold weather. On the contrary, some people like us keep waiting for winter. However, you can’t deny the fact that the white roads, the snowy parapets, the icicles hanging from the trees, all of these create the perfect backdrop for a wedding.
While it is an amazing feeling to walk down a snowy aisle, the winter season does take a toll on your skin. Hence, if you want to look the best of yourself on your big day, you better prepare your skin from beforehand. However, we will come to that later. For now, our aim is to find out the ideal winter wedding look for you.
Glam it up with gold and plum:
Winter is the best time to glam up your makeup. And what can be a better excuse than your own wedding? So, are you ready to rock the bold look?
We will be using highly shiny eye shadows. Hence, it is better for you to complete the eye makeup before moving ahead with the base. Anastasia Beverly Hills – Eyeshadow Palette – Prism is the ideal eyeshadow palette for this makeup.
After priming your eyes, set it with powder. Pick the pale nude shade and cover the eyelid. Take the golden shade and cover the inner half and use bronze shade on the outer half of the eyelid.
Apply the copper shade on the outer one third of the eyelid. Apply matte nude shade and define the crease while blending the colors to give a faded look. Highlight your brow bone and inner corner of eyes with champagne shade.
Now that you’re done with the eyeshadow application, it’s time to line your eyes with a black eyeliner. You can use a liquid or gel eyeliner and create a crisp wing. Or, use the black eyeshadow from the palette and create a smokey wing liner to enhance the glam quotient.

Use Anastasia Beverly Hills – DIPBROW Pomade to define and fill your eyebrows. Use false lashes and coat them with mascara for the ultimate dazzling look.
You already know the drill with creating the base makeup. Make sure to get rid of any fallouts before applying primer, foundation or concealer. Since it will be a bold makeup look, choose a full-coverage foundation and concealer.
Once you have created the base makeup, it’s time to move on to the lips. Who said that you can’t have bold lips with intense golden eye makeup? We are going for a glammed up look, remember?
Plum is a very wintery shade. A plum lipstick can intensify your look immensely. And that is exactly what we are going for.
gives you flawless lip color. Make sure to prep your lips before applying the dark shade. Scrubbing and moisturizing your lips will give a smooth base for the lipstick to glide on.
It’s better to avoid liquid lipsticks in winter weddings as they tend to dry out your lips. Winter is already a dry season and you don’t want to apply something that will dry out your lips even further.
Don’t forget to set the makeup with a makeup setting spray like Prime Fix Plus Setting Spray Mist.
Red pout with cat eyeliner
The red lip is one of the classic wedding makeup looks. It is the easiest way to make your bridal makeup look dazzle. We will use a sharp cat eyeliner to pair with the red lips.
Prime your face and eyes to begin with the makeup. Use a light to medium coverage foundation, like Benefit Cosmetics Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation. Build the coverage as per your liking.
Use NYX Professional Makeup HD Photogenic Concealer Wand to cover dark circles.
We recommend using the blackest black gel eyeliner to create this look. Apply Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel 77 with a thin eyeliner brush. If you want to experiment with colors, you can choose from the 20 shades of the gel eyeliner.
Now, before you get started with lining your eyes, moisturize your lips and leave it like that.
First, take a nude or pale brown eyeshadow and swipe it across your eyelid. Take a dark brown shade and define the crease line. Make sure to blend the eye shadows for a diffused look. Apply a light eye shadow in the inner corner of your eyes to make your eyes look bright. That’s all about eye shadows in this look. You can move towards eyeliner now.
`We recommend using the blackest black gel eyeliner to create this look. Apply Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel 77 with a thin eyeliner brush. You can also choose from the 20 other shades.
Draw a thin line along the lash line. Create another line assuming that the lower lash line has extended outwards and upwards. Connect that extended line to the upper lash line. You’ll see a small triangle and fill it in.
This is the time to thicken the line and elongate the wing as per your liking. If you’re happy with the result, use a black eyeshadow to set the color in place. Take a flat eye liner brush and pack the shadow in it. Pat the eyeshadow instead of dragging it.
Use E.L.F. Professional Eye Widener White Pencil on the lower lash line. It will make your eyes appear awake, bigger and fresh all day.
Remove excess lip moisturizer so that the lipstick doesn’t smudge. Go for a dark shade of red or a bright red. RMS Beauty Wild With Desire Lipstick Jezebel is a blackberry red that has blue undertone. It is a dark shade of red if that’s what you’re looking for.
MAC Ruby Woo beautiful red looks flattering on most skin tones. Blot the excess lipstick in a piece of tissue paper and reapply. Repeat this process! Use a red lip liner to line your lips and clean the sides using a concealer.
Use the Burt’s Bees Lip Balm very lightly on top of your lipstick. L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lip Liner, Always Red for lip lining. This is the time when you perfect the shape of your lips and fill any gaps that the lipstick may not have covered. After you’re done with lining the lips, use a concealer to clean the area around your lips. It will make the lips look more defined and even make them appear fuller.
Since you’ve used red lipstick, using a complimentary blush is necessary to bring the color back. Choose Sephora Collection Blush Me 04 Young Love- Deep Rose as your blush. Don’t apply too much in one go! Rather, build the color as you deem fit. Blend the blush properly and avoid any bronzer. Use a highlighter slightly on your face. Set the makeup with a setting spray.
